John Juanda was born on July 8, 1971 in Medan, Indonesia. He is also known by his nicknames "Luckbox" and "JJ" and his hometown is Marina del Rey, California. He holds 4 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets which he won during the years 2002-2008.
Juanda was born and raised in Indonesia, but he is actually ethnically Chinese. He was very talented when it came to the track and when he was a high school student, he was a track runner and was a star when it came to 200 meter sprints and up to 5,000 meter races.

Johnny Chan, who is also known by his nickname "The Orient Express", was born in 1957 in Guangzhou (Canton), China. Nowadays he lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Chan got his nickname back in 1981, when he competed in Bob Stupak's American Cup poker tournament. He made it to the final table and defeated 9 other players in less than an hour. After that, Stupak gave him the nickname.
Chan moved quite a while when was a kid. His first move was in 1962 when he moved with his family to Hong Kong, then in 1968 moved to Phoenix, Arizona and then in 1973 to Houston, Texas, where his family owned restaurants.

Joseph Hachem who is also known by his nickname “Diamond Joe†was born on March 11, 1966 in Lebanon and he’s a Lebanese-Australian professional poker player. He holds 1 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet from the 2005 WSOP Main Event and 1 World Poker Tour (WPT) title. His win of the 2005 WSOP Main Event made him the first Australian to win a main event and besides the bracelet he also took home $7.5 Million which was then the highest amount of tournament prize. Mike Matusow (born Michael Matusow) was born on April 30, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He is also known by his nickname "The Mouth", because he tends to trash-talk a lot around the poker tables. Matusow is also known around the poker tables for playing great poker for hours or even days, but then he always snaps and makes a huge mistake that costs him a lot of his money. This is also known as the "Mike Matusow Blow-Up" or the "Mike Matusow Meltdown".
He holds 3 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets which he won in 1999, 2002, and 2008. He is also the winner of the 2005 WSOP Tournament of Champions.

Paul Wasicka was born on February 17, 1981 in Dallas, Texas. He is known for finishing second to Jaime Gold at the 2006 WSOP Main Event and for winning the 2007 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.
He began to play poker in 2004 in an underground tournament that was held in Denver, Colorado and it seems it was a good path in Wasicka's life. Before playing poker, he was working as a bartender and also as a restaurant manager. He later quit his jobs and shifted his attention to poker.

Phil Gordon (born Philip Stewart Gordon) was born on June 6, 1970 in El Paso, Texas. His nickname is "Tiltboy", and his hometown is Las Vegas, Nevada. He holds one World Poker Tour (WPT) bracelet, which he won in 2004.
Gordon is one of the tallest poker players around, reaching a height of 2.06 meter (6 ft 9 in) and besides successfully playing poker, he has also won two national bridge tournaments.

Phil Hellmuth (born Phillip Hellmuth Jr.) was born on July 16, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin. He is well known by his nickname "The Poker Brat" because of his rude behavior towards other players and unpleasant personality around the poker tables. He is known to burst in anger and even curse when suffering a bad beat. He accused a player during the 2005 WSOP event that he cannot even spell the word "poker" and also known for remarks that if luck wasn't involved, he (Hellmuth) would have won every single tournament,t and that he himself revolutionized the way people play Texas Hold'em. Sam Farha (born Ihsan Farha) was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1959. He is also known by his nicknames "Sammy" and "Mister Cool", and his hometown is Houston, Texas.
Farha moved to the States when he was a teen at the time the Lebanese Civil War broke out. In 1977 he settled in Wichita, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas. Farha graduated with a degree in business administration and later on moved to Houston, Texas where he worked with his brother.

Scotty Nguyen (born Thuan Nguyen), who is also known by his nicknames "The Train" and "The Prince of Poker", was born on October 28, 1962 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. He holds five World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets which he won during the years 1997-2008 and one World Poker Tour (WPT) bracelet which he won in 2006. He is the only player so far to win both the WSOP Main Event and $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. events. Nguyen said that the only game he has not won yet in the WSOP is the 2-7 Lowball. He is one of the most active poker players and sees the money in many tournaments he participates in. From 2000 to 2004, he finished in the money in more than 100 events! Thomas James Cloutier, who is better known as T. J. Cloutier, was born on October 13, 1939 in Albany, California. He holds 6 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and in 2006 was chosen to be a member of the Poker Hall of Fame.
Cloutier studied at the University of California, Berkeley and was on an athletic scholarship. He played American Football and Baseball and also played in the Rose Bowl in 1959. Unfortunately, he had to drop out because of financial trouble in his family.
